Satec Service Ltd Engineering Workshop

Satec Service has 10,000 square feet of workshop of which is broken up into three workshops but are all interconnecting. The three workshops are used for dirty water, clean water and the assembly/shot blast spray shop. We also have an 8,000 square foot yard that incorporates a large turning area for articulated Lorries.

Shop 1: (Dirty Water, Mild Steel)

This is 3,500 square feet and is used for normal mild steel fabrication work plus repair and refurbishment of pumps and other equipment. We fabricate half bridge scrappers, full bridge scrappers, picket fence thickeners, submerged aeration filtration plants (SAF), Diffused Aeration Plants (DAF) and our own model A & B sewage treatment plants. We also fabricate access walkways, access stairways, platforms & ladders.

Three large gravity sand filters for overseas project in Iraq

Satec Service fabricates containerised plant and equipment for UK and overseas projects using 20” and 40” ISO shipping containers. We design and build these in our workshops and assemble all the equipment so that the units are ready to transport straight to site. We have the facility to shot blast and spray paint all of our equipment to any type of specification including WIMMES.

Workshop 2 (Clean Water, Stainless Steel)

This workshop is also 3,500 square meters in size and is used to fabricate all of our stainless steel work. We keep the two shops separate so that we don’t get any cross contamination. We have been fabricating the roof support beams and structural steel work for a large project at Beckton Sewage Treatment Works in this workshop.

Stainless Steel support Steelwork at Beckton WWTW

We have the equipment to fabricate any type or size of plant:

Workshop 2 (Clean Water Stainless Steel)

In this workshop we also do ABS & PVC pipe work for our own dosing skids and pumping sets.

The fabrications that come out of this workshop are of very high standard and we have the facility to assemble the equipment together in our workshop, or we have a dedicated team of installation fitters that can install the equipment anywhere around the world.

Our installation team have all the certificates required to carry out any type of installation including our own lift team with AP, lift supervisor and slinger signaller our team also have confined space, telehandler, MEWP’s, PASMA, along with many more certificates that are always kept up to date.

Workshop 3 (Shotblast/spray & Assembley)

This work shop is 3,000 square feet and is used for three different functions. We have a shot blasting facility and a spray booth. As most of our work is for the water industry a high specification finish is required for the final product (if it is not stainless steel) we are set up to provide a WIMEs finish to any shape or size of equipment. We set this facility up to help reduce our customers cost. We found that we where double handling large items by sending them out to the shot blasters and sprayers so we decided to take this in house thus reducing our costs.

When this shop is not being used as a shot blast and spray booth we use it to assemble equipment as the shop is large enough to work on 40” ISO containers. We also assemble pumping / dosing skids as well as reverse osmosis plants.

Our work force consists of 4 full time fully qualified fabricators we also have welders and fabricators on our installation team that we can bring into the workshop when we have a large project.
