Satec Service operates a dedicated 10,000 sq ft workshop and fabrication facility, designed to support the manufacture, assembly, and testing of water and wastewater treatment systems.
The facility is divided into three interconnected workshop areas, each dedicated to specific activities:
- Dirty Water Workshop – supporting the fabrication and assembly of wastewater and sewage treatment equipment.
- Clean Water Workshop – dedicated to the manufacture and assembly of clean water treatment systems.
- Assembly, Shot Blast & Spray Shop – providing specialist finishing, preparation, and assembly capabilities.
In addition, Satec operates an 8,000 sq ft external yard with a large turning area suitable for articulated lorries, providing efficient handling, storage, and movement of equipment and fabricated components.
These purpose-built facilities enable Satec to undertake in-house fabrication, assembly, finishing, and system preparation, ensuring high standards of quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
workshop 1: dirty water, mild steel
Our 3,500 sq ft fabrication workshop is dedicated to the manufacture, repair, and refurbishment of mild steel equipment for the water and wastewater industry. Equipped with modern fabrication machinery and experienced engineers, we deliver high-quality bespoke steelwork, process plant, and structural components to the highest industry standards.
We specialise in the fabrication of:
- Half and full bridge scrapers
- Picket fence thickeners
- Submerged Aerated Filter (SAF) systems
- Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) plants
- Model A & Model B sewage treatment plants
- Access walkways, platforms, stairways, and ladders
- Bespoke mild steel fabrications for water, wastewater, and industrial applications
In addition to new fabrication, we provide comprehensive repair and refurbishment services for pumps, mechanical equipment, and process plant, helping to extend asset life and minimise operational downtime.
Workshop Capabilities
Our fully equipped fabrication facility enables us to manufacture a wide range of components and bespoke plant, including:
- Guillotines capable of cutting steel plate up to 10mm thick and 3m long
- Press brake capable of folding 12mm plate over 3m lengths
- Band saw for cutting up to 400mm universal beams
- Hydraulic punch and cropper for precision steel fabrication
- CNC profile cutting equipment
- Large pedestal drilling facilities
- Oxy-acetylene cutting equipment
- Pipe threading machines
- Multiple industrial MIG welding stations
- 5-tonne overhead crane
- Two 3-tonne forklift trucks

workshop 1: dirty water, mild steel cont.
Satec Service Ltd designs, fabricates, and assembles bespoke containerised plant and equipment for water, wastewater, and industrial applications across the UK and overseas. Using 20ft and 40ft ISO shipping containers, we deliver fully integrated, transportable process solutions ready for installation on site.
All units are manufactured and assembled in our workshops, where mechanical, electrical, and process equipment is installed and tested before dispatch, reducing installation time and ensuring consistent quality.
We also provide in-house shot blasting and industrial spray painting to a range of specifications, including WIMES-compliant coatings, for long-lasting protection in demanding environments.
workshop 2: clean water, stainless steel
Our 3,500 sq ft stainless steel fabrication workshop is dedicated to the manufacture of high-quality process plant, structural steelwork, and bespoke fabrications for the clean water and water treatment industries. To maintain the highest quality standards, our stainless steel workshop is kept completely separate from our mild steel facility, eliminating the risk of cross-contamination.
The workshop has supported major infrastructure projects, including the fabrication of roof support beams and structural steelwork for Beckton Sewage Treatment Works.

workshop 2: clean water, stainless steel cont.
In addition to stainless steel fabrication, we manufacture ABS and PVC pipework for our bespoke dosing skids and pumping systems.
All fabrications are produced to the highest quality standards and can be fully assembled and factory tested in our workshops before delivery. Alternatively, our experienced installation teams provide professional mechanical installation services for projects across the UK and internationally.
Our installation engineers are fully certified and trained to carry out complex site installations, with qualifications including Appointed Person (AP), Lift Supervisor, Slinger Signaller, Confined Space, Telehandler, MEWP, and PASMA, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient project delivery.
workshop 3: shot blasting, spray painting & assembly
Our 3,000 sq ft workshop houses our dedicated shot blasting and industrial spray painting facilities, enabling us to provide high-quality protective coatings for fabricated equipment used throughout the water and wastewater industry. We apply durable coating systems to a wide range of specifications, including WIMES-compliant finishes, ensuring long-lasting corrosion protection and a superior finish.
By carrying out shot blasting and spray painting in-house, we reduce handling, improve quality control, and deliver cost savings for our clients while maintaining faster project turnaround times.
When not in use for surface preparation and painting, the workshop is utilised for the assembly and factory testing of large process equipment, including 40ft ISO containerised plants, pumping and dosing skids, and reverse osmosis (RO) systems.
Our experienced fabrication team is supported by additional qualified welders and fabricators from our installation division, allowing us to scale our workforce to meet the demands of larger projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality and workmanship.
